The grassroots limited-government group has helped lead the charge against a proposal to expand the Medicaid program under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
LANSING, Mich.—On the heels of a Medicaid expansion workgroup update, the grassroots group Americans for Prosperity-Michigan thanked Senate lawmakers for taking the time to study the issue in-depth. LANSING, Mich. -- Americans For Prosperity-Michigan is planning to purchase radio ads this summer to educate Michiganders on the votes that their lawmakers have taken. "A key part of AFP's mission is to educate citizens, and residents of Michigan deserve to know how their lawmakers vote," says Scott Hagerstrom, State Director of AFP-Michigan. "Their votes impact families and individuals in very big ways and while taxpayers are working to put food on the table, lawmakers have been making reforms that impact their health care, tax rates, and their schools."
