Americans for Prosperity-Virginia Applauds Gov. Youngkin’s Call for Tax Cuts
Richmond, VA – Americans for Prosperity – Virginia (AFP-VA) applauds Governor Youngkin’s call for tax cuts.
AFP-VA State Director Tim Parrish released the following statement:
“Governor Youngkin knows Virginia workers need a break – a tax break. For years, AFP-VA has advocated for tax cuts – we shouldn’t be taxing tips or paychecks. We are excited that this message has found a footing in our nation and our Commonwealth.
“While cutting taxes on tips is a start to tax relief, we believe Virginia lawmakers should go even further in January and cut taxes on the paychecks of all Virginians. With Speaker Scott’s recent optimistic comments towards providing tax relief to Virginia workers, we’re happy that leadership in the Commonwealth is aligned on this critical policy.
“AFP-VA is excited for the upcoming legislative session, and we will be at the forefront of the tax fight to help hardworking Virginians keep every dollar they’ve earned.”
