DENVER, CO — Upon the announcement that the Colorado Public Utilities Commission will again raise energy rates, marking the third increase in two years, Americans for Prosperity-Colorado State Director Jesse Mallory released the following statement:

“Just when you think the Public Utilities Commission couldn’t get any more tone deaf, they pass yet another rate hike,” said Mallory. “From skyrocketing property taxes, energy rate increases and trying to sunset TABOR refunds, life is becoming increasingly unaffordable for Coloradans. AFP urges every Coloradan concerned with these dangerous trends to contact the P.U.C. and their elected officials to demand financial relief from these harmful policies.”

BACKGROUND:

AFP-CO’s ongoing No More Rate Increases campaign arms voters with the ability to contact the Public Utilities Commission and demand a stop to the arbitrary rate increases hiking up heating and cooling costs.
