AFP Pennsylvania Urges State Legislature, Governor to Enact Health Care Reforms

Mar 18, 2020 by AFP

Harrisburg, PA. – Americans for Prosperity-Pennsylvania today issued the following statement urging the Commonwealth’s State Legislature and Governor to enact meaningful health care reforms for its residents.

“In the constantly changing landscape of this pandemic, it’s critical our state lawmakers and Governor take appropriate actions in the best interest of our residents,” said AFP-PA State Director Ashley Klingensmith. “New innovations in telemedicine and common-sense legislation to remove barriers to help address public health emergencies can make an impact when it matters most.

“That’s why we’re rallying our grassroots efforts to urge state lawmakers to advance scope of practice, CRNA title designation and telemedicine and calling on Governor Wolf to sign these measures into law. Through texts, social media events and organizing, coalition partner mobilization and with the full muscle of our grassroots activists, we plan to advocate for reforms that will put the Keystone State in a better position now and in the future when it comes to addressing the needs of its residents.”

Americans for Prosperity Pennsylvania recently released a letter this week addressed to Governor Wolf advising him to take the necessary steps for the state’s health care system.
