Grassroots Group Applauds Governor Lee’s Approach to Safely Reopening the Economy

Phased in approach prioritizes public health while rebooting the economy

NASHVILLE, TN – Following Governor Bill Lee’s announcement to end the state-wide stay-at-home order on May 1^st for 89 of Tennessee’s 95 counties, Americans for Prosperity-Tennessee (AFP-TN) today applauded Governor Bill Lee for his approach to protect both public health and help safely reboot the state’s economy.

Americans for Prosperity State Director Tori Venable issued the following statement:

“We thank Governor Lee for bringing together a variety of business and health care stakeholders that will provide a bottom-up solution to empower businesses to innovate, adapt, and overcome to safely reopen.
