New Americans for Prosperity-Texas State Director Genevieve Collins is familiar with the challenges Texans are facing as they seek to overcome the barriers posed by COVID-19, having canvassed the state and heard peoples’ concerns —like getting back to work, receiving affordable health care, and access to quality education for their families— as a candidate for Congressional District 32.

“I look forward to bringing Texans together to drive transformational policy solutions to the challenges Texas families are facing with Americans for Prosperity’s dedicated grassroots at the helm,” Collins said. “Now more than ever, Texans are striving for principled policy that helps end the pandemic and helps the economy recover strong.”

Collins, a 7th-generation Texan and Dallas native, will lead the chapter as it carries out its ambitious new agenda to put the Lone Star state on the path toward recovery.

Collins’ history of working for change includes serving as senior vice president of corporate strategy for Istation, an education technology firm in Dallas. Her expertise applying technology solutions to modernize classrooms and her experience fighting for the kinds of education reforms AFP Texas seeks to protect led to her advocating education reforms to Vice President Mike Pence.

Collins has also served on the boards of the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center and the Navy SEAL Legacy Foundation, among other philanthropic endeavors. She earned an MBA from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University, and an undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee. While at UT, she anchored the school’s Division I rowing team, which went on to compete in multiple NCAA championships.

“I can’t wait for this new opportunity to work with the grassroots community and influence policy across our great state and at the federal level,” she said.
