AFP-Iowa Applauds Sen. Grassley’s Continued Efforts to Confirm Judge Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court

DES MOINES, IA – Americans for Prosperity-Iowa (AFP-IA) commended Senator Chuck Grassley following this afternoon’s announcement that the United States Senate Committee on the Judiciary will hold confirmation hearings for Judge Kavanaugh September 4th through 7th.

“We applaud Senator Grassley for his steadfast efforts to ensure that a qualified jurist is confirmed to serve on the Supreme Court,” said Americans for Prosperity-Iowa State Director Drew Klein. “Iowans want a Justice who will interpret the law as written and not legislate from the bench. Judge Kavanaugh’s record clearly indicates he will do just that. Our activists will continue to support Judge Kavanaugh’s confirmation throughout the hearings.”

In early July, AFP-IA announced it would fully support Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the Supreme Court. Judge Kavanaugh is a qualified jurist with a long track-record of interpreting the law as written and not legislating from the bench. AFP-Iowa activists have reached out to thousands of people across the country asking them to contact their Senators and urge them to confirm Judge Kavanaugh.
