COLUMBUS, OH – Americans for Prosperity-Ohio (AFP-OH) bashed Minnesota Governor Tim Walz’s tone-deaf Ohio tour in Zanesville, Youngstown, and Lorain County this week, calling on him to take his out-of-touch town halls elsewhere.

Donovan O’Neil, AFP-OH State Director, released the following statement:

“Tim Walz is visiting Ohio to promote the Democrats’ radical agenda, but the reality is that Ohio voters have repeatedly rejected their polices. Ohioans won’t be deceived by this ‘Democrat Delusion Tour.’ Why should they take advice from a governor whose own state is struggling with a crippled economy, rampant fraud, and political dysfunction?

“While Walz is on stage regurgitating his failed ‘Minnesota Miracle,’ AFP-OH will be building a bolder, better Buckeye State. Tomorrow, the Government Oversight Committee will hear sponsor testimony on House Concurrent Resolution 8, urging Congress to make the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act permanent. AFP-OH has been instrumental in this resolution, and we are thrilled to continue our work to protect prosperity for all Ohioans.”
