AFP-OH Applauds TCJA Concurrent Resolutions Introduced to Ohio House and Senate

Columbus, OH – Today, Americans for Prosperity-Ohio (AFP-OH) applauds Ohio legislators for introducing concurrent resolutions, one in the House and one in the Senate, calling on the Ohio delegation to support the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) and Protect Prosperity. The concurrent resolutions were introduced just weeks after AFP-OH, alongside dozens of Ohio grassroots organizations, released a letter expressing strong support for the TCJA and urging Ohio legislators to take immediate action to make its provisions permanent.

AFP-OH State Director Donovan O’Neil released the following statement:

“We are thrilled that concurrent resolutions have been introduced to the Ohio House and Senate to protect prosperity by urging the delegation to make the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act permanent.

“This is top priority for AFP-OH, as we believe that making the TCJA permanent will continue to provide stability and confidence for Ohio’s working families and businesses. If the Trump TCJA expires, Ohioans will see their tax bills increase by over $2,000, and businesses will face an average tax increase of over $800. These changes will impact over 4 million Ohioans who work in traditional C-Corps or pass-through entities.

“We’d like to give a special thanks to Sen. Lang and Rep. Williams for sponsoring these resolutions. We will continue to fight for these critical tax cuts through these resolutions’ adoption into both chambers.”
