CONCORD, NH – Americans for Prosperity-New Hampshire (AFP-NH) today urged the House to reject SB 920, a bill that weakens previously agreed work requirements for able-bodied Medicaid recipients.
“Medicaid work requirements provide able-bodied adults an opportunity for a way out of poverty and restores the dignity of work. This bill rolls back the pathway to an improved quality of life and reduced government dependency, risking scant resources for those who Medicaid was intended for,” said Greg Moore, AFP-NH State Director. “Legislators should be trying to help people improve their own lives and reduce dependency on government rather than closing doors to opportunity. We urge the House to reject this bill and ensure able-bodied adults have an opportunity toward more independence.”
