MACUNGIE, Pa. – Americans for Prosperity-Pennsylvania (AFP-PA) activists lined the road outside of the Mack Trucks Plant in Macungie ahead of President Biden’s speech to show their opposition to the $4 trillion “infrastructure” proposal and encourage an alternative to solving the state’s transportation woes. Activists held signs urging the president to “Stop the Spending Spree” as part of AFP’s nationwide campaign that calls for an End to Washington Waste.
AFP-PA State Director Ashley Klingensmith issued the following statement:
“President Biden’s remarks today centered around the importance of American manufacturing and his desire for families to thrive. If this so-called ‘infrastructure’ framework becomes law, Pennsylvania will only fall farther behind in our economic recovery. Hardworking taxpayers will see painful tax hikes and small businesses will continue to shutter. We urge lawmakers in the House and Senate to carefully consider the unintended consequences this have will on Pennsylvania families.”
