FRANKFORT, KY – Yesterday, Americans for Prosperity – Kentucky (AFP-KY) hosted a universal school choice and Certificate of Need (CON) repeal rally with lawmakers and grassroots activists at the Kentucky State Capitol.
During the rally, activists heard from and met with lawmakers about the latest efforts to pass school choice reform bills. They also heard from Rep. Marianne Proctor (District 60) about the status of her bills to repeal CON.
AFP-KY State Director Heather LeMire released the following statement:
“We greatly appreciate Senate Majority Floor Leader Damon Thayer, House Majority Whip Jason Nemes, and Rep. Marianne Proctor for taking time to speak with us about expanding universal school choice and ending Certificate of Need laws.
“Rep. Proctor has been a leader in fighting to repeal Certificate of Need laws that would empower Kentuckians with increased health care options, access, and affordability. AFP-KY will continue to support her and serve as the leading grassroots voice to end restrictive CON laws in Kentucky.”
