STONE MOUNTAIN, GA – Yesterday, Americans for Prosperity – Georgia (AFP-GA) dropped the price of gas at Finish Line Texaco in Stone Mountain to $2.38, the national average price per gallon in January 2021.

During this event, AFP-GA spoke with Stone Mountain area residents about Governor Kemp’s extension of the state gas tax due to ongoing high prices and how “Bidenomics” is contributing to inflation.

AFP-GA State Director Tony West released the following statement following the Stone Mountain gas station price drop event:

“While Governor Kemp is trying to offer relief to Georgians, periodic gas tax holidays are not the solution. ‘Bidenomics’ is what has made life so expensive. We need federal solutions to federal problems and that starts with embracing American energy abundance, stopping runaway spending, and cutting red tape.

“Georgians and Americans all across the country should not have to sacrifice and make changes in their lives just to afford the basics. AFP-GA will continue community engagement events like this and advocating for policies that allow individuals to reignite their American Dream.”
