Grassroots Group Comments on Vice President’s Visit to The Sunflower State
TOPEKA, KS – Following Vice President Mike Pence’s visit to Kansas, Americans for Prosperity-Kansas (AFP-KS), the state’s largest grassroots advocate for the policies and goals of a free and open society, issued the following statement:
“It was great to have the Vice President here in The Sunflower State to talk, in part, about how the new tax law has helped create a healthy economy that is working for all Americans. Thanks to federal tax reform Kansas families are able to keep more of their hard-earned money for what’s important to them. We hope his visit, and the significant benefits of federal tax reform, will light a fire under our state lawmakers. It’s time for state level tax reform.”
Americans for Prosperity launched its American Pay Raise campaign following the historic passage of federal tax reform. AFP-Kansas is the state’s leader in grassroots advocacy work to urge lawmakers to lower taxes to reign in out of control spending.
