Knoxville, TN – Today, Americans for Prosperity – Tennessee (AFP-TN) proudly congratulates Congressman Tim Burchett (TN-02) on joining the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) Committee. As a strong advocate for limited government and fiscal responsibility, Rep. Burchett will make a valuable addition to the new committee.
AFP-TN has worked extensively alongside Rep. Burchett since his tenure as the Mayor of Knoxville. Rep. Burchett has consistently championed policies that foster prosperity and economic freedom in Tennessee. In 2024, AFP awarded Rep. Burchett with the Pioneers for Prosperity award in recognition of advancing legislation that promoted prosperity and strengthened our communities. AFP-TN is celebrating the representation of Knoxville in the DOGE Committee and looks forward to continuing its work with Rep. Burchett to achieve their like-minded vision.
AFP-TN State Director Tori Venable released the following statement:
“There’s no better Congressman I can think of to join the DOGE committee. Rep. Burchett has been a long-time advocate for Constitutionally limited government. We look forward to seeing these recommendations to right-size government and make it small enough to fit inside our Constitution.”
