COLUMBIA, SC – Following First Lady Jill Biden’s address to South Carolina Educators, Americans for Prosperity-South Carolina (AFP-SC) highlighted the Biden-Harris Administration’s failed policies that have emboldened union leaders instead of putting students and families first, and is calling for actual solutions to increase access to education during National School Choice Week.
AFP-SC State Director Candace Carroll released the following statement:
“While First Lady Jill Biden claims that President Biden is ‘the education president,’ the truth is that his administration has done nothing to empower students or improve outcomes. Instead, Joe Biden has prioritized supporting national union bosses like Randi Weingarten to help push their radical agenda.
“We urge the Biden-Harris Administration to change course and finally put students and parents first by working to advance important education initiatives, such as expanding school choice and promoting education savings accounts for all students in the Palmetto State.”
Background
From K-12 education to postsecondary education, AFP-SC has been a leading voice in calling out the Biden-Harris Administration’s radical education agenda. In October, AFP-SC protested Vice President Kamala Harris’ visit to the College of Charleston.
