HARRISBURG, Pa. – Two months out from primary election day, Americans for Prosperity-Pennsylvania (AFP-PA) kicks off Final Say PA. This educational campaign urges Pennsylvania voters to vote “YES” on ballot questions 1, 2, and 3 to amend the state constitution and limit the governor’s emergency powers. The grassroots group launched a new webpage FinalSayPA.com that includes a digital toolkit encouraging voters across the state to spread the word.

Voting in favor of these ballot questions will shorten the duration of unilateral emergency declarations from 90 to 21 days. It will also ensure that all Pennsylvanians have a voice in the process by embedding their elected representatives in the General Assembly into emergency declaration decision-making.

AFP-PA State Director Ashley Klingensmith issued the following statement:

“Governor Wolf issued four consecutive emergency declarations that have had a devastating impact on our lives and livelihoods. We were left entirely in the dark as the governor made these unilateral decisions without seeking the people’s input through their elected representatives. AFP-PA created Final Say PA to give Pennsylvanians their voices back by providing them with a platform to learn and engage. Our activists will mobilize across the state between now and primary election day to educate voters on the true meaning behind these ballot questions and to motivate voters to get out to the polls on May 18th.”
