Americans for Prosperity on Gov. McKee’s State of the State Address
Providence, RI – Americans for Prosperity Northeast Region Director Ross Connolly released the following statement following Governor McKee’s 2024 State of the State Address:
“Tonight, Governor McKee touched on some of the most important issues affecting our state and his plans to solve them this year. However, Rhode Islanders know that the only path to prosperity is pro-freedom policies that make prosperity and opportunity achievable for every individual.
“In order to make Rhode Island the best place to live, work, and raise a family, we must tackle these challenges with policies that put Rhode Islanders first. Education policies must empower parents and give families the freedom to make the best decisions for their children’s futures. Energy policies must provide affordable and attainable energy that small businesses and households can rely on. Economic policies must include a sound budget that won’t drain the bank accounts of hardworking taxpayers. Regulations must not limit capabilities and strangle small businesses with red tape but rather empower them to succeed.
