Raleigh, NC – Americans for Prosperity-North Carolina (AFP-NC) today released the following statement in response to Governor Cooper’s decision to ease Certificate-of-Need restrictions.

“Governor Cooper has taken a step in the right direction by relaxing restrictions and giving hospitals more capability and authority to add the hospital beds they need without being bogged down in red tape.” said State Director Chris McCoy. “Moving forward, we call on the Governor to work with us to eliminate these restrictions permanently for the benefit of residents across the Tarheel State.”
