FRANKFORT, KY – Today, Rep. Wade Williams filed HB6 in the Kentucky General Assembly. HB6 is a bill regarding the Regulations from the Executive In Need Of Scrutiny (REINS) Act, a critical step towards fostering transparency and accountability in the rulemaking process. Americans for Prosperity – Kentucky (AFP-KY) applauds the General Assembly for advancing this effort to curb government overreach and foster growth.
AFP-KY State Director Heather LeMire released the following statement:
“Burdensome government regulations hinder growth, stifle economic development, and make life harder for everyday Kentuckians. The REINS Act is a necessary step to ensure regulatory policies work in the best interest of the people, not bureaucratic interests.
“Today, our rulemaking process leaves too many in the dark, creating barriers to growth and opportunity. Transparency and accountability for excessive overreach are key steps to a better path forward.
“AFP-KY is committed to working closely with lawmakers to advance the REINS Act and fast-track it into law. Breaking down barriers, advancing pro-growth policies, and making Kentucky a better place to live is at the core of our mission.”
