Arlington, VA – Americans for Prosperity Foundation (AFPF) today released a report of its engagement during the October 2021 Supreme Court term. AFPF Chief Policy Counsel James Valvo said:
“There’s one word that sums up our engagement in the October 2021 term: liberty. Our briefs supported litigants across a broad spectrum of cases, from the ACLU seeking court transparency to incarcerated persons seeking modified sentences to plaintiffs working to hold the administrative state accountable. In every case we asked the Court to apply the plain text of the law and Constitution.”
AFPF wrote 7 briefs on the merits, leading to 6 wins. It also supported 10 cases on petitions for cert, leading to 2 grants, with 2 still pending. AFPF looks forward to continued engagement on the theme of liberty in the upcoming term.
