Grassroots group will engage activists to help policy champion get re-elected
CHARLESTON, W.Va.—Americans for Prosperity-West Virginia (AFP-WV) today announced an additional candidate endorsement to accompany the group’s first-ever support for statehouse candidates. The grassroots organization will now engage their activists and resources toward reelecting policy champion, State Senator Patricia Rucker.
Patricia Rucker helped lead the effort to expand telehealth, so West Virginians can access the care they need from the comfort of their homes. Rucker has been a consistent champion of fiscal responsibility and lower taxes that helps keep more money in West Virginians’ pockets. Rucker has also shown she’s willing to fight to remove barriers on businesses, jobs, and economic opportunity by supporting efforts to reduce red tape and needless government regulations.
AFP-WV State Director Jason Huffman released the following statement:
“Senator Rucker represents the kind of principled, common sense leadership that we need to keep in Charleston if we hope to get our state back on a path to prosperity. From leading on efforts to remove barriers to health care innovation that helps our health professionals battling the pandemic to supporting fiscal responsibility, Senator Rucker is not afraid to stick her neck out in support of policies that benefit every West Virginian.”
“Senator Rucker has proven that she is not afraid to take on the special interests who want to keep the failed status quo. We will mobilize our activists in support of Senator Rucker, and work to ensure she returns to Charleston to keep fighting for policies that help every West Virginian succeed.”
