AFP-Utah Welcomes Heather Andrews as State Director

Americans for Prosperity Press Release

SALT LAKE CITY, UT – Today, Americans for Prosperity-Utah (AFP-UT) announced that Heather Andrews will reprise her previous role as state director as the grassroots organization prepares for the general election and 2027 legislative session.

“Utah has always been home, and I’m thrilled to return as state director to continue the work of building a freer, more prosperous state,” said Andrews. “From tax reform to occupation licensing and expanding education opportunity, this state’s grassroots activists have proven time and again what’s possible when neighbors come together to hold policymakers accountable. I can’t wait to continue this important work with them.”

Andrews previously held this role from 2016 to 2023, where she led the chapter to major legislative wins on tax reform, occupational licensing, free speech, and education freedom. Before rejoining AFP-UT, Andrews served as AFP’s Western Regional Director.

Under her leadership, AFP Utah built one of the largest active grassroots networks in the state. Andrews’ career in political advocacy spans more than a decade. Outside her professional work, Andrews is a proud mother and grandmother and resides in South Jordan.
