SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Americans for Prosperity-Utah (AFP-UT) announced the release of its 2019 legislative scorecard, which tracks lawmakers votes on key issues raised during session. The grassroots group scored over 40 bills and tallied nearly 4,000 votes to put together the comprehensive look at how lawmakers voted on legislation that will make Utah the best state to live, work, and raise a family.

AFP-UT supported and scored lawmaker votes on key policies such as the Clean Slate bill, several occupational licensing reforms, legislation to address burdensome red tape, the extending of Constitutional protections for electronic data and reforms to prevent future tax increases. Top scorers this session include Rep. Kim Coleman, Rep. Marc Roberts, and Sen. Lincoln Filmore, who voted in support of bills that will remove barriers for Uthans and make the state a place where individuals and families can thrive.

“We put together this scorecard to give Utahns the opportunity to look at how their elected representatives voted on issues that will directly impact them and their families,” said AFP-UT State Director Heather Williamson. “AFP-Utah works to further policies that will allow families and entrepreneurs to pursue their goals, to the benefit of everyone. We hope that by seeing how their lawmakers are voting on these issues, Utahns will be inspired to get involved and work with us to ensure Utah’s future is bright.”
