Manchester, New Hampshire—Today the New Hampshire State Senate voted to pass a bill protecting free speech on public campuses in the Granite State.
Americans for Prosperity-New Hampshire (AFP-NH) Regional Director Greg Moore issued the following statement after the passage of HB 1305:
“Now, more than ever it is critical that public universities maintain their commitment to academic freedom and free speech. AFP-NH applauds the bipartisan passage of a bill that sends a strong message to students and faculty that free speech is essential to learning and vital to the mission of New Hampshire’s academic institutions. We’ve been working on this bill for five years and are thrilled to see the Senate take this important step.”
“It’s only right that the ‘Live free or die’ state would continue to set an example to the rest of the country by voting to ensure our public universities uphold these fundamental freedoms and protect the rights of students to speak—and learn—on campus.”
