LAS VEGAS, NV — As National School Choice Week kicks off, Americans for Prosperity-Nevada (AFP-Nevada) is highlighting the importance of fostering an education system that prioritizes an individualized approach to learning.

Every student deserves a high-quality education tailored to their individual needs. Improving policies like education savings accounts (ESAs), school choice and open enrollment empowers families to choose the best educational choice for their students.

In the next legislative session, AFP-Nevada will advocate for policies expanding educational freedom, ensuring all students access to quality education to nurture their distinct talents and foster fulfillment and success. These priorities include broadening open enrollment opportunities and safeguarding and enhancing opportunity scholarship programs.

AFP-Nevada State Director Ronnie Najarro issued the following statement on National School Choice Week:

“Increasing access to programs like ESAs, open enrollment and opportunity scholarships allows Nevada’s students to select a school that fits their needs. These policies prioritize students over systems and give power back to parents and families.

“A quality education is the best foundation to achieve the American Dream and each student in Nevada deserves a high-quality education. AFP-Nevada is calling on lawmakers to continue the spirit of National School Choice Week into the next legislative session and improve educational freedom right here in the Battle Born State.”
