Apr 1, 2019 by AFP

BISCMARCK, ND—Americans for Prosperity-ND (AFP-ND) today released a statement applauding the state legislature for its passage of HB 1345, which would reduce unnecessary occupational licensing requirements in North Dakota specific to hair braiding. AFP-ND has been active in supporting this effort through grassroots engagement and lobbying efforts.

AFP-ND State Director Mike Fedorchak issued the following statement:

“We are excited to see our lawmakers take steps to reduce barriers to the workforce by removing egregious occupational licensing requirements. HB 1345 removes onerous requirements to the hair braiding industry and is a great first step to tackling unnecessary and burdensome occupational licensing standards across North Dakota.”
