INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Americans for Prosperity-Indiana (AFP-IN) today commended Senators Mike Braun and Todd Young for confirming Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court.
Since the launch of AFP’s national, full-scale campaign, which began shortly after Judge Barrett’s nomination on Sep. 26th, AFP grassroots activists sent or made more than 750,000 letters and phone calls respectively to their senators in support of Judge Barrett.
AFP-IN State Director Michael Chartier issued the following statement:
“Judge Barrett represented the Hoosier state exceptionally well in her hearings, demonstrating a wealth of knowledge and expertise on the law, as well as a commitment to always adhering to the Constitution. Our activists made their voices heard loud and clear – over 750,000 contacted their senators in support of Judge Barrett. We thank Senators Young and Braun for voting for this extremely well-qualified nominee who will uphold the rights and freedoms of every American.”
Background:
Americans for Prosperity launched a full-scale national campaign to mobilize its permanent grassroots infrastructure and empower its activists to support Judge Amy Coney Barrett’s confirmation to the high court.
As part of its campaign, AFP set up a unique web page, UniteforBarrett.com, that empowered activists to share their support of Judge Barrett with their senators. The campaign also included over two million pieces of mail sent across the country and millions of Americans were reached via the group’s targeted digital ads.
The group has also hosted several live videoconferences for the grassroots to hear directly from their senators and spearheaded a coalition letter of more than 200 leaders from national and state groups urging senators to confirm Judge Barrett.
