INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Americans for Prosperity-Indiana (AFP-IN), today, announced its support of eight candidates running for election and reelection to the Indiana General Assembly.
AFP-IN supports the following candidates for their leadership and commitment to increasing opportunity for all Hoosiers: State Sen. Scott Baldwin (SD-20), State Sen. Aaron Freeman (SD-32), State Sen. Cyndi Carrasco (SD-36), State Rep. Dale DeVon (HD-05), State Rep. Becky Cash (HD-25), Alaina Shonkwiler (HD-29), State Rep. Kyle Pierce (HD-36), State Rep. Gregory Steuerwald (HD-40).
These endorsements come after AFP-IN recently endorsed two candidates in highly contested races: State Rep. Dave Hall and Scott Hawkins. AFP-IN continues their support for 11 additional state legislative candidates endorsed earlier this cycle.
AFP-IN, as part of the largest grassroots network in the country, plans to leverage the full weight of its voter contact capabilities, in addition to direct-mail and digital advertisements, to support these candidates.
AFP-IN State Director Josh Webb issued the following statement:
“AFP-IN is proud to support this slate of candidates in their bids for the State Legislature. These candidates will work to pursue policies that will increase economic opportunity and lower taxes for Hoosier families and businesses. When elected, they will fight to improve educational outcomes for our students, lower inflation, and impose sound fiscal policies that will help improve the lives of Hoosiers.
“As election day nears, AFP-IN and our grassroots army of activists are laser-focused on helping ensure this slate is elected come November. Our staff and volunteers are excited to get out and connect with voters to discuss the kitchen-table issues facing our communities and how these great candidates can address them in the legislature.”
