Atlanta, Georgia—Today Americans for Prosperity-Georgia praised the Senate introduction of the Red Tape Rollback Act of 2025. State Senator Greg Dolezal (SD-27) introduced this transformative legislation, which, if enacted would empower the legislature to review regulations and rules coming from the state agencies.

Dolezal’s introduction comes as AFP-GA launched a five-figure digital campaign to support regulatory reform in the Peach State. The videos and ads will run statewide and around the Capitol, urging lawmakers to unleash prosperity by reining in runaway rulemaking.

AFP-GA State Director Tony West released the following statement:

“On behalf of our grassroots activists, AFP-GA is grateful to Senator Dolezal for introducing this much-needed legislation. Red tape is holding back Georgia’s job-creators. Duplicative, outdated, and overly burdensome regulations strangle small businesses and deter entrepreneurial Georgians from starting or expanding businesses.

“We could unleash so much economic potential simply by returning more rulemaking authority to the legislature by regularly reviewing agency regulations. That’s why we are launching a digital campaign to support efforts to reduce administrative bloat and restore checks and balances to Georgia’s government.

“We look forward to harnessing the enthusiasm for regulatory reform by deploying our grassroots to support this legislation and working with lawmakers to ensure the final package on regulatory reform is both thorough and efficient.”
