Atlanta, Georgia—Today, Americans for Prosperity-Georgia (AFP-GA), the largest grassroots organization in the state, issued a statement celebrating the start of National School Choice Week.

AFP-GA State Director Tony West issued the following statement:

“As the nation celebrates the transformative power of embracing educational freedom there are still thousands of students trapped in one-size-fits-all systems that aren’t equipped to meet their needs.

“AFP-GA was proud to advocate for the passage of the Georgia Promise Scholarship last session. We are encouraged that Governor Kemp’s budget request included fully funding the Georgia Promise Scholarship, making over 20,000 Georgia students eligible to seek out the education they need to succeed and thrive.

“Our army of grassroots activists and concerned parents will not rest until each and every Georgia student has access to the life-changing power of the Promise Scholarship and we look forward to working with lawmakers to make this vision a reality in the Peach State.”
