AFP-AR Applauds Gov. Hutchinson on Proposed Tax Cuts
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Americans for Prosperity-Arkansas (AFP-AR) commends Gov. Hutchinson after announcing his proposal to lower top marginal income tax rate from 6.9 percent to 5.9 percent over two years. In 2015, the governor signed into law a 1 percent tax cut for middle-class Arkansans and in 2017 passed a tax cut impacting lower-income taxpayers.
AFP-AR State Director Ryan Norris issued the following statement:
“We applaud Gov. Hutchinson making good on his promise to provide income tax relief to all Arkansans. Arkansas has benefitted from a pro-growth tax code and Arkansans are reaping the benefits. We look forward to working with the governor and legislature to double down on good tax policy with rates that are low, flat, and fair.”
