AFP Applauds Trump Administration for Protecting Caregivers, Ensuring Public Programs’ Integrity

May 2, 2019 by AFP

ARLINGTON, Va. – Americans for Prosperity (AFP) today commended the Trump administration and Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for finalizing a rule Thursday prohibiting Medicaid payments from being diverted to government unions.

Americans for Prosperity Director of Employment Initiatives Erica Jedynak issued the following statement:

“Today’s rule change will restore hundreds of millions of dollars to disabled individuals and low income families in need that should never have been taken in the first place. Not only does this rule help restore funding to the most vulnerable, but it also gives tens of thousands of health care workers the choice to decide for themselves whether they want to pay union dues.”
