Americans for Prosperity-LA Congratulates Legislature for Taking Historic Step for Louisiana Learners
Baton Rouge, LA—After passing its final vote in the Senate, Americans for Prosperity-Louisiana (AFP-LA) applauded the legislature for ensuring a bright future for Louisiana learners with SB 313, the LA GATOR Scholarship Program, now headed to the Governor’s desk for signature.
AFP-LA State Director, Scott Simon, released the following statement:
“Louisiana families will soon be in the driver seat of their children’s education thanks to the passage of the LA GATOR scholarship program. By expanding opportunity and allowing funding to follow the child, students will be better served with education opportunities that fit their unique needs.
“This legislation was a needed step to transforming our education system and keeping talent in our great state. Education isn’t a one-size-fits-all model and today we’re thrilled that our elected officials saw what we can do to support learners in achieving their goals by unleashing opportunity and choice.”
