WASHINGTON, DC – This week, Americans for Prosperity – Missouri (AFP-MO) awarded U.S. Senator Eric Schmitt and U.S. Congressman Eric Burlison (MO-07) with “Pioneers for Prosperity” awards, in recognition of their principled conservative leadership during the 118th Congress.
Schmitt and Burlison are on the frontlines in Congress advancing principles and policies that advance the conservative movement, while proactively opposing harmful ideas that grow the size of government and take money out of taxpayers’ paychecks.
AFP’s “Pioneers for Prosperity” stood firm against ill-advised legislation that would have deepened the hardships felt by working families and worked closely with AFP in Washington as well as with our grassroots communities in their home states.
Lawmakers earned recognition for supporting bills such as the Employee Rights Act, Strategic Production Response Act, Lower Energy Costs Act, Health Care Fairness for All Act, and other pivotal pieces of legislation that offer common-sense solutions that would improve Americans’ lives.
AFP-MO State Director Gary Hollis released the following statement:
“We’re thrilled to name Sen. Schmitt and Rep. Burlison as AFP-MO’s ‘Pioneers for Prosperity’ award winners for 2024, in recognition of their tireless service to hardworking Missourians and fighting for commonsense policies in Washington.
“AFP-MO is excited to continue our work with them in the coming year to defend the American taxpayer – starting with renewing the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act – to end the cost-of-living crisis that has made it more difficult for Missourians to live out their American dream.”
