OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Americans for Prosperity-Oklahoma (AFP-OK) released its 2025 “Prosperity Across the Prairie” legislative agenda today at the start of the 60th Oklahoma Legislature. Many of AFP-OK’s priorities align with Governor Kevin Stitt’s as stated in today’s State of the State Address.
This year, AFP-OK will work closely with the governor and the state legislature to remove barriers to success and promote policies that will help all Oklahomans to thrive and chase their American Dream, starting with eliminating the state income tax.
AFP-OK State Director John Tidwell gave the following statement:
“We’re thankful to live in a state with a governor and legislative leaders remain devoted to limiting the size and scope of government so that businesses and families can thrive. Governor Stitt’s vision for a path to zero income tax is exactly the kind of leadership that our state needs to unleash our economic potential and remain competitive with our neighboring states.
“AFP-OK is also excited to hear the governor’s announcement of a Department of Government Efficiency in Oklahoma (DOGE-OK) to ensure that our state government eliminates inefficiencies and works for taxpaying Oklahomans, not for itself.
“We share the governor’s belief that a rising tide lifts all boats, so that if we become the best state for business, it will pave the way for Oklahoma becoming the best state for education, building great things, starting a business, and raising a family.”
