Today, Americans for Prosperity and its sister organization, Americans for Prosperity Foundation, rolled out an amicus briefs page featuring amicus curiae briefs these organizations have filed in state and federal courts.
Americans for Prosperity and Americans for Prosperity Foundation frequently write amicus curiae briefs to support other litigants and present important issues to courts. These organizations engage the courts to break down barriers that prevent individuals from achieving their potential and to promote a legal system that respects the rule of law and protects individual liberty.
In 2020 alone, Americans for Prosperity and Americans for Prosperity Foundation wrote or joined briefs in support of cases challenging South Carolina’s civil asset forfeiture regime, the National Security Agency’s mass surveillance of international internet communications, the doctrine of qualified immunity, and the use of state tax dollars to subsidize a private company in Arizona.
