Sep 20, 2023 by AFP

Baton Rouge, LA—Today, Americans for Prosperity-Louisiana (AFP-LA) announced its third wave of endorsements in the 2023 primary election to be held on October 14, 2023.

Last month, AFP-LA released two waves of endorsements. Today’s announcement creates a new total of 16 AFP-LA supported candidates running in the 2023 primary election.

AFP-LA State Director and former state representative Scott Simon issued the following statement:

“With the primary around the corner, we’re continuing to engage with residents and making the case for the candidates who will deliver for hard working Louisianans. Our support is carefully placed behind principled leaders who have demonstrated a commitment to making our state a freer and more prosperous place where families can succeed.

“Our team of dedicated grassroots activists have been connecting with folks across the state to ensure that on election day, we see champions of sound policies moving into the general election on November 18.”

AFP-LA Third Wave Endorsed Candidates:

HD 07 Tim Pruitt

HD 25 Jason DeWitt

Running in his hometown, DeWitt is aligned with AFP-LA on key issues such as bolstering public safety, ending cronyism, promoting education opportunities for all, health care reform, cutting regulation, and tax reform. He has also made repealing the state income tax a key part of his campaign.

HD 48 State Rep. Beau Beaullieu

As a small businessman, Rep. Beaullieu knows that Louisiana needs less regulation and the freedom to innovate economic opportunities in our state. With a promising future to implement positive changes in the State House, Rep. Beaullieu will fight for hardworking families across Louisiana.

HD 73 Braville LeBlanc

LeBlanc has a decorated career in Ponchatoula, including 14 years serving in the City Council, and supports reform on policies such as education to better promote parental rights, protecting free speech, limiting spending, and cutting taxes.

SD 36 Adam Bass

Life-long resident of Bossier Parish and former small business owner, Bass is aligned with AFP-LA on core issues for Louisiana voters such as increasing education opportunities, safeguarding free speech, cutting out of control spending, and tax reform.

SD 38 State Rep. Thomas Pressly

Rep. Pressly has a proven record of fighting for reforms on education and tax. Notably, he fought for Education Saving Accounts in 2023, pushing the legislation behind the scenes to improve the options parents have for their children’s futures.
