Group deployed radio and digital ads while using permanent grassroots infrastructure to sound the alarm
CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Americans for Prosperity-West Virginia (AFP-WV) today announced it will ramp up its End Washington Waste campaign with new statewide radio and digital ads to highlight Sen. Manchin’s opposition to the proposed packages.
The grassroots group will continue to sound the alarm to fellow Mountaineers about President Biden and Sen. Bernie Sanders’ so-called “infrastructure” proposals. Utilizing its permanent grassroots infrastructure, AFP-WV activists are engaging in citizen-to-citizen contact to encourage constituents to ask Sen. Manchin to keep his promise to defend our shared West Virginia values by rejecting this reckless spending spree in Washington.
As we hold and attend various events across the state to celebrate historic policy wins at the state level and connect with citizens, we’re also using these opportunities to raise awareness about the major threats facing our country at the federal level. Thousands of West Virginians have contacted their lawmakers in Washington in addition to the two million letters and 170,000 phone calls from Americans nationwide urging DC lawmakers to #StopTheSpendingSpree.
AFP-WV State Director Jason Huffman released the following statement:
“Folks across the state are fired up and standing in strong opposition to these extreme proposals. These radical partisan wish lists will only lead to historic tax hikes, more government control over our health care, less freedom in our workplaces, and harmful Green New Deal-style policies that increase utility costs for families. With only pennies on the dollar going toward roads, bridges, and waterways, the Biden-Sanders Infrastructure plans are just a big government bait and switch—politics as usual at its worst.”
