ATLANTA, GA – Ahead of First Lady Jill Biden’s political fundraiser in Atlanta, Americans for Prosperity – Georgia (AFP-GA) criticized her out-of-touch fundraiser—where the cheapest ticket to attend is $1000.
AFP-GA Coalitions Director Jacquelyn Harn released the following statement:
“First Lady Jill Biden’s second visit to the Peach State for a fundraiser is another slap in the face to Georgians—many of whom are having trouble putting food on the table while the First Lady is collecting $1000 a head for a lavish fundraising dinner. On Tuesday, Gov. Kemp issued a state of emergency over the cost of fuel and suspended Georgia’s gas tax through Oct. 12. This is a direct response to the failed policies of the Biden-Harris Administration.
“From lost wages due to soaring inflation to increased energy costs from President Biden’s attack on energy, ‘Bidenomics’ has failed our state and the country. While the First Lady is visiting our state, we urge her to spend her time addressing the struggles of hardworking taxpayers instead of hosting inflation-adjusted fundraisers for this administration and its broken policies.”
