Americans for Prosperity-Florida Applauds Senate for Passing Transformational Education Bill in HB 1 / SB 202

Tallahassee, Fla. – Americans for Prosperity-Florida today issued the following statement as the Senate passed HB 1/SB 202, regarding universal education savings accounts that will empower Florida families to determine the educational paths that best suit their child.

“We are elated to see universal education savings accounts pass the state Legislature today. Congratulations to Senator Corey Simon and Representative Kaylee Tuck who put in the hard work as the bill sponsors,” said AFP-FL State Director Skylar Zander. “We also want to recognize the hard work of House Speaker Paul Renner and Senate President Kathleen Passidomo and we thank them for shepherding passage of the most transformational education bill seen in this nation’s history. We hope Governor Ron DeSantis receives the bill soon and quickly signs it into law.”
