ARLINGTON, VA—Americans for Prosperity’s Chief Government Affairs Officer Brent Gardner made the following statement today:

“Americans are grappling with a growing national debt, rising prices that are increasing the cost of living for all, and an unprecedented border crisis. With just 45 days left, including 16 on the legislative calendar, before a potential government shutdown could worsen these pressing concerns, it is imperative that we take swift action. It’s crucial for the 118th Congress to promptly choose a Speaker and refocus on addressing the needs of the American people, restoring confidence that the House can offer a viable alternative to the Biden administration’s faltering policies.”
