AFP to Donnelly: Don’t Delay, Confirm Kavanaugh!

Aug 15, 2018 by AFP

Indianapolis, Ind. – Americans for Prosperity-Indiana (AFP-IN) today reacted to Senator Donnelly’s meeting with President Trump’s highly-qualified nominee to the U.S. Supreme Court, Judge Brett Kavanaugh. AFP-IN has been the leading advocate for Judge Kavanaugh in the Hoosier State and its grassroots activists have already knocked on more than 8,500 doors and made more than 209,700 calls in Indiana to urge their neighbors to call Senator Joe Donnelly and tell him to support Kavanaugh.

“Sen. Donnelly should stay clear of the obstruction and dilly-dallying shown by some of his Senate colleagues who’d rather play party politics and deny their constituents an experienced and independent jurist who will defend the Constitution, such as Judge Kavanaugh,” said AFP-IN State Director Justin Stevens. “The more Sen. Donnelly hears from Judge Kavanaugh and looks at his record, the more confident we are that he’ll find a fair and qualified jurist who deserves his support. Our activists have made clear to Donnelly that Hoosiers are united behind Kavanaugh and we’re hopeful the senator will reject the slow-walk playbook of his beltway bosses by announcing his support for Judge Kavanaugh.”

The United States Senate Judiciary Committee will hold confirmation hearings for Judge Kavanaugh on September 4th through 7th.

AFP has committed seven figures to paid advertising and grassroots engagement in support of Judge Kavanaugh’s confirmation. AFP activists have already knocked on more than 8,500 doors and made more than 209,700 calls in Indiana to urge their neighbors to call Senator Joe Donnelly and tell him to support Kavanaugh, and the group has supplemented those grassroots efforts with mailers, digital ads, and new website.
