AFP Calls Senators to Stop Su: Don’t Let Biden Turn Your State Into California

ARLINGTON, VA– Americans for Prosperity’s Chief Government Affairs Officer Brent Gardner made the following statement today after Biden Secretary of Labor nominee Julie Su was voted out of committee:

“Julie Su implemented legislation in California that threatened the livelihoods of millions of freelance workers in her state. Confirming her as Secretary of Labor would take California’s failures nationwide.

More than 70 million Americans work as independent contractors, and American families depend on flexibility in their careers now more than ever. We ask Senators to vote against Ms. Su’s nomination when it comes to the Senate floor and demand that President Biden nominates a Secretary of Labor who will protect workers’ flexibility and freedom.”
