AFP-NE Launches New Digital and Mail Accountability Campaign

Lincoln, NE – Americans for Prosperity-Nebraska (AFP-NE) launched a new accountability campaign this week, consisting of both digital ads and mailed materials to highlight the voting records of elected lawmakers. The campaign is centered on thanking those lawmakers who supported policies that will bring down costs for Nebraska families while criticizing those who voted consistently for legislation that will make affordability more challenging.

The campaign praises Gov. Jim Pillen for fighting to protect educational options for Nebraska students, Sen. Teresa Ibach for sponsoring Nebraska’s REINS Act, and Sen. Merv Riepe for sponsoring LB1212 to help reduce healthcare shortages.

It also criticizes Sen. George Dungan for a proposed amendment that could give judges broad discretion to shape environmental policies and Sen. John Fredrickson for voting for policies that contribute to Nebraska continuing to have some of the highest property taxes in the country.

AFP Regional Director Jesse Mallory issued the following statement:

“Our job is to make sure Nebraska families get the best policies possible from their elected lawmakers in Lincoln. When lawmakers support policies that we know will benefit families, we celebrate their records. When they don’t, we push for accountability. Nebraskans need to know which lawmakers are interested in lowering costs, and which are set on upholding the status quo. With our new campaign, we hope the answer becomes more clear.”
