AFP-Ohio Celebrates Primary Victories of Endorsed General Assembly Candidates

COLUMBUS OH – Americans for Prosperity-Ohio (AFP-OH) celebrated the primary victories of 12 candidates for the Ohio General Assembly on Tuesday night following the organization’s months of daily canvassing and advocacy across their districts.

The following AFP-OH endorsed candidates won their primary races: Craig Riedel (SD-01), Zac Haines (SD-07), Rep. Steve Demetriou (SD-27), Rep. Brian Stewart (HD-12), Mike Kahoe (HD-31), Vik Sandhu (HD-35), Ed Schimmel (HD-44), Christina Hagan (HD-48), Jesse Styles (HD-57), Brian Lorenz (HD-60), Sean Hutson (HD-66), and Patti Rockey (HD-81).

To date, AFP-OH’s statewide network of grassroots activists and volunteers have knocked on 64,000 doors in support of these candidates.

Based on their voting records and campaign platforms, these candidates are on track to earn high scores on AFP-OH’s “Buckeye Blueprint” legislative scorecard at the end of the 2026 legislative session.
