Raleigh, North Carolina – Americans for Prosperity (AFP) grassroots activists from across the country traveled to Capitol Hill this week as part of Americans for Prosperity’s ongoing Protect Prosperity campaign to advocate for President Trump’s tax cuts.

State Director Tyler Voigt traveled to Washington and met with North Carolina lawmakers to extend provisions of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA), which saves the average North Carolina family $1,337 in federal taxes per year and preserves 24,223 jobs throughout the state. Tyler Voigt also discussed passing the rescissions package from the White House to eliminate wasteful spending.

AFP-NC State Director Tyler Voigt released the following statement:

”This week, I met with lawmakers and urged them to pass President Trump’s reconciliation package and renew the TCJA tax cuts that will save North Carolina more of their hard-earned money on their Federal taxes.

“We must ensure Americans aren’t hit with the largest tax increase in history – we look forward to working alongside policymakers to make the TCJA permanent.”
