ICYMI: AFP-PA & Policy Champions Kick Off Budget Season in General Assembly
Harrisburg, Pennsylvania—Today Americans for Prosperity-Pennsylvania (AFP-PA), State Senator Dawn Keefer (SD-31) and State Representative Tom Jones (HD-98) kicked of Budget season in the General Assembly with a press conference under the Capitol Dome in Harrisburg.

AFP-PA Deputy State Director Nick Kerin gave remarks, urging lawmakers in the General Assembly to adopt fiscal responsibility in the face of mounting pressure to increase spending from Governor Josh Shapiro:
“This is about restoring the legislature’s power of the purse. It’s about building a state government that works for its people, not around them. So, let’s hold the line to budgeting that’ comprehensive, structurally sound, and citizen-focused.”
This budget season, AFP-PA is prioritizing structural balance legislation and meaningful regulatory reforms such as the REINS Act to return fiscal sanity to the Keystone State and protect hardworking taxpayers across the Commonwealth.
