Americans for Prosperity Applauds Passage of S.18
Montpelier, VT –Yesterday, the Vermont legislature passed S.18, An Act Relating to Licensure of Freestanding Birth Centers. Americans for Prosperity (AFP) responded to the passage of the bill and is urging Governor Scott to sign it into law.
AFP Deputy Region Director Rachel Burgin released the following statement:
“The passage of S.18 creates a clear, commonsense licensure path for freestanding birth centers in Vermont. This is a meaningful step forward for maternal health, offering families more safe, affordable options for care.
“AFP applauds the Vermont legislature for advancing this legislation that gives families greater choice in health care. By removing unnecessary red tape, S.18 empowers innovation and secures health care freedom for the Green Mountain State.
