AFP-TX Applauds Trump Administration Empowering Communities and Families to Lead Education Policy
AUSTIN, TX – Americans for Prosperity-Texas (AFP-TX) today applauded the Trump Administration’s move to downsize the Department of Education, empowering families, states, and communities to take charge of their own educational needs.
Genevieve Collins, AFP-TX state director, gave the following statement:
“With Texas just weeks away from creating the largest school choice program in U.S. history, we’re encouraged to see this bold action by the Trump Administration that will empower other states to put families and communities in charge of their students’ education.
“President Trump recognizes that parents – not bureaucrats in Washington or Austin – are best equipped to provide for our students’ educational needs. AFP-TX is making sure our state lawmakers do as well.
“With federal red tape out of the way, and a soon-to-be success story in Texas, we hope to see the education freedom movement sweep across the nation.”
